GIBSON BRIDGES philosophy
Faithfull to tradition we kept the original look of the ABR-1
removing only the string retainer ,using a locking feature for every saddle in its position.
What is more important for us is to achieve a rattle free bridge and that is perfectly achieved with our ABR-1 bridge.
Of course as in all of our series we offer a wide variety of alloys for every taste,
from open airy uncompressed tones to fat sweet and dark.
Compatibility
All our bridges are drop in,so you are not need to do any kind of modification.
Alloys SHORT DESCRIPTION
1060 STEEL : delivers crystal clear ,bright and balanced tone with great note separation and enhanced harmonics.
MS58 BRASS : colors the tone adding its own vibe. it gives a sweet,fat, warm and mid ranged focused tone.notes seem to sing more! Compression is also an addition to tone. feels better in guitars with harsh sound.
7075 T6 ALUMINIUM : delivers clarity and definition with opened ,twangy and percussive tone. It doesn’t color the sound so you get the character of the wood itself.
PHOSPHOR BRONZE : is an alloy with unique tone qualities.It gives a crystal clear tone with excellent note separation while in the same time it gives a fat warm tone with unbelievable sustain.
ALUMINIUM BRONZE : has similar tone qualities with its cousin phosphor bronze(crystal clear tone,excellent note separation,warmth,fullness,sustain) being different only in the fact that it enhances the high harmonics.
GR5 TITANIUM : is an excellent alloy for this kinda hi-fi tone with extrta clarity and great sustain.
about electro plating
all the alloys we use,except gr5 titanium and stainless steel,can be plated in either chrome or gold(satin or gloss finish)
